Henri Duparc (December 23, 1941 Guinea-April 18, 2006 Paris) was an Ivorian film director and screenwriter.

He is considered one of the pioneers of African cinema and is known for his many award-winning films that explored themes of social justice, colonialism, and identity in Africa. Duparc was born in Guinea but raised in Ivory Coast, where he became interested in filmmaking at a young age. He moved to France to study film and began his career as a documentary filmmaker in the 1960s. In 1973, he directed his first feature film, "Pousse-pousse," which won the Golden Stallion at the FESPACO film festival. Throughout his career, Duparc continued to make groundbreaking films that challenged conventions and pushed boundaries. He was also a mentor to many up-and-coming African filmmakers and played a key role in establishing the African film industry. Despite his early death at age 64, Duparc's legacy continues to inspire filmmakers around the world.
