Carmen Silvera (June 2, 1922 Toronto-August 3, 2002 Denville Hall) a.k.a. Carmen Blanche Silvera was a Canadian actor.

Silvera is best known for her role as Edith Artois in the British sitcom 'Allo 'Allo!, which ran from 1982 to 1992. Before her successful turn in 'Allo 'Allo!, she had a long career in acting, primarily in the theatre. She made her film debut in the 1948 British film 'Vice Versa'. In the 1950s and 1960s, she appeared in a number of television shows, including 'Hancock's Half Hour', 'The Benny Hill Show', and 'The Avengers'. She also appeared in several West End productions, including 'The Boy Friend' and 'A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Forum'. Silvera retired from acting in the late 1990s due to ill health and passed away in 2002 due to lung cancer.

She later became a frequent guest performer on numerous game shows and variety shows. Diamond is best known for her role as Selma Hacker on the hit television show "Night Court" from 1984 to 1985. Despite battling lung cancer, she continued to perform on the show until her death in 1985. Diamond was posthumously nominated for an Emmy Award for her work on "Night Court."
